The Brockville Rifles is an infantry unity of the Canadian Armed Forces Primary Reserves. The regiment is primarily made up of citizen soldiers from Leeds and Grenville Counties. The regiment has been a part of the community since 1866.

As a member of the Army Reserve, you can serve Canada part-time in your own community. The typical part-time work commitment is four evenings (Thursdays) and one weekend per month. During the summer, you will have the opportunity to attend short-term full time courses or taskings.

You may also take part in mission at home in Canada or overseas. In emergency situations or national incidents, the Reserve Force can be called in to active duty with the Regular Force – but as a Reservist, the choice to participate in any operation away from home is always yours.

Many Reservists have full-time careers outside the Canadian Armed Forces in a wide range of civilian occupations, while many are full-time students.

The Canadian military is one of the most highly trained and respected forces in the world. Above all, the Canadian Armed Forces values strength of character and team contributions. This means that regardless of your gender, religion or ethnicity, the Canadian Armed Forces invites you to be part of this team.
