38th Bn, CEF-Tuesday, October 22, 1918

Left Mastaing at 9.00a.m. and marched to Lourches arriving at 11.00a.m. Stopped for dinner. Moved off again to 1.30 and marched to Rouvignies, via Denain and Waverain sur denain. Battalion and A echelon at Rouuvignies B Echelon at Waverohain sur demain. Relieved 44th Canadians in support. B company put outpost at Prouvy. Battalion accorded great reception while passing through Denain.

21st Bn, CEF-Tuesday, October 22, 1918

The Battalion moved to billets in Auberchecourt, arrived at 1230 hours and the Battalion Headquarters was established at 36 Charles Ducrest. Routine orders of the date announced the death of Lieut. W.H.MacKay on 5-10-18 of wounds received in action. Lieut R.A. Stewart returned from leave on this date and it was announced that Capt.N.J MacCrimmon had been award a bar to his Military Cross.

2nd Bn, CEF-Tuesday, October 22, 1918

The dispositions of the 21st were maintained throughout the night in the course of which notification was received that the Royal Canadian Regiment would pass through the 2nd Battalion at about 0700 hours this morning and continue the advance. Guides from the outpost line were furnished and this Regiment moved forward on the 22nd and passed through our outposts. Under instructions from Brigade the Battalion was withdrawn to Grand Bray on the morning of the 22nd. Weather: Showers.
