The weather continued fine and aerial activity was normal. A working party as furnished on the night of September 13th proceeded forward to work on defenses. Information that the 2nd Canadian Division would be relieved by the 1st Canadian Division was received from the 4th Canadian Infantry Brigade. Captain A.P.Christmas was, on this date, posted to Eastern Ontario Regimental Depot, Seaford, on being retrained in England for duty. A draft of two other ranks arrived from 2nd Divisional Wing, C.C.R.C.
Inspection of 12th Canadian infantry brigade by the corps commander at Wailly Wood. Battalion passed through gas in afternoon. Captain W. Vernon, MC. Appointed adjutant. One other rank reinforcement joined Battalion. Weather fine.
Baths were allotted the Bn. At Agnez les Duisans. Companies and Details bathed at various hours and were issued with clean underclothing. Musketry for No.3 & 4 Companies at the ranges carried out, and at intervals, time was spent in Anti-Gas Drill, etc. by the Battalions. Operation Order No. 48 issued. Weather: Fair.
