2nd Bn, CEF-Sunday, October 20, 1918
Orders were received in the course of the night that the 1st and 4th Battalions would resume the pursuit, passing through the 2nd and 3rd Battalions. Shortly after 0900 hours the outpost line was withdrawn from the Battalion, which was to be in Reserve, formed up on the road near Hiverchers Farm. The road from there to Urnay Farm was blocked at the road junction leading to Warlaing, moreover the advance was being stubbornly resisted. In view of these circumstances the Battalion was distributed, as a temporary measure, in the neighboring farm. With Battalion Hqrs in Uruny Farm. Transport and Rear Details left Pecquencourt at 0930 hours arriving at Windgnies at 1230 hours. Weather: Showery.
2nd Bn. CEF- Saturday, August 3, 1918
Training by Companies was carried out as usual in the morning. At 2.00p.m. advance party proceeded to Cagny area to arrange for the billeting of the Battalion. At 5.00p.m. the Battalion received warning order to proceed any time after 7.00pm to the Cagney Area. As this move was to be made in Battle Order, all men’s packs and surplus baggage were stored at Seux and Fluy. At 11.00pm the Battalion Moved off, and after marching 12 miles, arrived at 5.45 a.m.

Companies & Details paraded at 20 mins. intervals from 9.30 a.m. for Protestant Church Service held in the Field West of the Wood. Services were conducted by Capt. A.J.Emmet (Chaplain) who afterwards celebrated Holy Communion. Roman Catholic Service was held at 10.00 a.m. in the Field S. of the Beet Root Factory. Draft of 32 O.Rs. joined. Band concert in afternoon. Weather: Raining in the early morning, afterwards Fair.
